127 Donors Respond to Mayor Claude Trudel's Appeal

The Mayor's Blood Donor Clinic proved very successful this year, with 127 donors who responded to the Mayor's appeal to give blood on May 6 at Centre communautaire Marcel-Giroux—a much larger turnout than last year's 92 donors.

"I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all residents who came to make such a concrete gesture of giving blood at this blood donor clinic," mentioned Borough Mayor Claude Trudel. The Mayor also made a point of warmly thanking all volunteers who—once again this year—lent a hand in the Verdun Mayor's Blood Donor Clinic. "Without their invaluable contribution, the blood donor clinics of Héma-Québec couldn't be so successful," he added.

One simple blood donation can help save up to four lives. Knowing that to maintain the collective blood supply fully depends on the generosity of people who are concerned about sharing the great asset that good health truly is, the Mayor made a point of encouraging those who couldn't come to his Blood Donor Clinic to go to one of Héma-Québec's mobile blood donor clinics.
