Phase 2 of Residential Building Inspection
On the Island of Montréal
Ville de Montréal's property assessment staff from its Direction de l'évaluation foncière will be carrying out Phase 2 of its exterior inspection operation covering all residential buildings (single-family homes, duplexes and triplexes) located on its territory. This inspection will be ongoing until June 30, 2009.
During this operation, Borough of LaSalle residents may notice a technician or assessor examining and photographing their property. The buildings will be inspected Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., and the personnel will be equipped with an I.D. card from Ville de Montréal.
These mainly exterior inspections are necessary in order to improve the quality of the data used for evaluating all residential buildings. Moreover, they are in keeping with the requirements of the Municipal Taxation Act.
The borough of LaSalle is urging all its residents to cooperate with this operation. For further information, just contact the Réseau ACCÈS MONTRÉAL by phoning 311, or visit the Internet portal: <@Ri>ville.montreal.qc.ca/arrondissement.
