Public consultation on the northern tip (Pointe Nord) on April 7
In a public notice published in Le Magazine on March 19, Verdun Borough announced the holding of a public consultation meeting regarding zoning for the northern tip (Pointe Nord) in L'Île-des-Sœurs.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:00 pm in the Borough Council hall located at 4555 Verdun Street. A first draft regulation was adopted by council resolution during the March 3 meeting.
The target area of the regulation modifying zoning by-law 1700 covers the entire section of the northern tip including the Bell Campus and Proment’s urban project going from Bonaventure Boulevard all the way to the island’s structures leading to the Champlain Bridge.
The goals of the meeting are to repeal the provisions related to the golf course in this area, modify the area’s zoning limits, create zones in this same area and to add zones based on those provisions relating to an implementation and architectural integration plan.
Verdun Borough Mayor Trudel will be present to explain the draft regulation and its implications. He will also listen to comments from people who want to have a say on this regulation. The draft regulation is available in room 102 of the Borough Office from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm during the work week.
