On Tuesday March 10, at 8 p.m, the Salle Pauline-Julien presents an evening of pop opera featuring soprano Giorgia Fumanti, who recently performed at église Saint-Jean-Baptiste for the 10th anniversary of the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival. For this concert, Fumanti will be showcasing a varied repertoire ranging from pop to classical pieces, sung with the purity and grace of a diva whose voice has an indescribable seductive quality to it. She will be performing well-known musical works by renowned artists such as Sting, Vangelis and Ennio Morricone.
Worldwide, the reaction is unanimous: audiences are literally moved by the extraordinary vocal and scenic performance of Giorgia Fumanti, whose music can be compared to the style of tenor Andrea Bocelli, combined with the spiritual quality of Enya's songs. Over the past year, the Italian-born soprano from Québec shone on some of the most prestigious stages of the world, singing alongside internationally renowned artists such as José Carreras, Lang Lang, Mario Frangoulis and Justin Hayward. Thus, it is with great honour that we welcome Giorgia Fumanti at the Salle Pauline-Julien for a second time!
