Verdun has four candidates already
(PL/PV) As of press time, four candidates have announced their intentions to run in the December 8 elections. Several electoral placards have been set up and organisations are working hard to prepare for the campaign.
The candidate for the Action démocratique du Québec, Moscou Côté, is a resident of L'Île-des-Sœurs. He owns a travel agency.
The outgoing MP, Henri-François Gautrin is seeking a sixth term and is representing the Quebec Liberal Party. Mr. Gautrin is a retired Mathematics professor.
Reconfirmed as a candidate during the investiture ceremony of the PQ Association of Verdun last February, the pastry chef and baker Richard Langlais will again join the ranks.
The Parti Québec solidaire Verdun is inviting its supporters and sympathisers to Nu art restaurant at 3780 Wellington Street on Friday, November 14 beginning at 6:30 pm for the launching of the campaign and investiture of candidate Chantale Michaud, also a resident of L'Île-des-Sœurs and a long-time party militant in Verdun.
