An accident involving a bicycle rider and a car on Nuns' Island, on the first round-a-bout, cries for urgent need for better overhead lights at all pedestrians crossing on all the round-a-bouts.
Visibility at dusk and at night is poor because the lights are not bright enough and not well placed.!
Making matters worse, many drivers enter the round-a-bouts far to fast, treating them as a challenge of there "driving skills."
The fact that Verdun has spend $ 450,000 of our tax dollars on " green sticks art work" and now will have this failed work removed, is irresponsible. The money should have been spend on making the traffic circle safer for pedestrians, bikers as well for drivers.
The victim is now recovering from severe injuries but has no recourse for compensation (no fault-law).
Thus, the victim has to endure extreme pain, lengthy rehabilitation and loss of quality of live.
Anyone cares ?
Any justice here ?
